Hi, I’m Coco

Coco is a sensitive cat looking for a calm, patient home where she can settle at her own pace. She becomes easily overwhelmed, so she must start in a small launch room before exploring the rest of the house. Once she feels safe, she will benefit from enrichment such as vertical spaces, scratching posts, and hiding spots that help her build confidence.
Coco can become overstimulated, especially when anxious, so her adopter should watch for signs such as tail flicking, dilated pupils, or flattened ears and give her space when needed. Play with toys-not hands-and stop interactions if she becomes mouthy or excited. Regular play therapy and enrichment feeding will help her release stress and feel secure.
When frightened, Coco may growl or hiss and should be given quiet time without being pulled from her hiding spots. Feliway and gentle voices will support her settling. She is best suited to a quiet home with teens or adults who understand cat body language. Though previously a single cat, she may accept a calm feline companion with slow introductions.
Coco arrived very fearful but is now showing a sweet, affectionate side, seeking attention and enjoying her meals. With patience and understanding, she will continue to blossom into a loving companion.
