Meet Twinkie. A sweet gentle soul, looking for a fresh start at life.

Twinkie will need to begin her new life in a small, quiet launch room where she can settle in at her own pace. Large open spaces can overwhelm her, so giving her time to adjust before exploring the rest of the home will help her feel safe. She'll be most comfortable in a home with plenty of scratch posts, cat trees, cardboard boxes, igloos, and access to shelves or dressers that offer both high and low hiding spots.

Her ideal adopter is someone patient and understanding, someone who recognises that Twinkie will be timid in a new environment and may take a little while to show her true personality. Older children who can read basic cat body language and know when to give her space would suit her best.

Twinkie is very social with other cats and gains confidence from their presence, so she would benefit greatly from having a friendly feline companion.

Twinkie originally came into care as a young mum with her kittens. She was quite worried and overwhelmed at first, but now that her babies are weaned, she's ready for love and attention of her own. Change can still make her nervous, and new environments take some time to adjust to, but she softens with gentle touch and affection. She warms up even more quickly when other cats are around.
